We are looking for a driven and results oriented Advanced Surgical Consultant “Heart Team” Specialist. We are growing both our focus and device line-up in order to support Cardiac Surgeons and Heart Failure Cardiologists.
With our continued success, we are looking to expand our commercial team. You will work closely with our Sales, Education and Marketing teams to drive growth across Taiwan . Through our Impella® product portfolio you will enable physicians and staff to recover hearts and save patients’ lives.

Responsibilities:
Patient Support:
Cardiac Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, Heart Failure Cardiologists, OR teams, Intensivists, Perfusionists, and ICU/ Step Down Unit teams.
Educational Skills:
Clinical/Technical Bachelors’ Degree Required; Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Surgical Physician’s Assistant (PA), or Perfusionist licensure, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities:
Patient Support:
- Routinely Support Impella cases (Both Cardiac & Surgical)
- Full customer immersion (ie. input on patient selection and subsequent surgical support) within 5.5 sites to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Improve patient outcomes through education, implementing latest clinical best practices and medical staff interaction, with emphasis on OR and ICU.
- Visit key institutions where patients have been equipped with Impella Pump portfolio to collect clinically relevant data.
- Perform After Action Review’s (AAR) with ‘Heart Team’ following cases and communicate results.
- Be a functional expert and provide advanced acumen on the durable, acute, and, hemodynamic medical device landscape and best practices in the management of those devices.
- Train, educate, and support combined CT/Heart Failure programs on the proper use of the Impella CP and 5.5 with Smart Assist. Develop expertise in Impella 5.5
- Responsible for ongoing training at key surgical sites. Enable and drive the growth and performance of our surgical business.
- Coordinate and lead activities with the Sales Managers, Training department, Medical Office and manage customer education for new and existing accounts to ensure best clinical outcomes.
- Establish surgical peer-to-peer networks across the region to share best practices and implement/ support peer-to-peer educational programs (incl. physician proctoring) in cooperation with our Physician Program Team and Medical Office.
- This will be achieved through the implementation of Abiomed’s surgical product portfolio, with training of MDs & hospital staff, about the appropriate use of Impella to ensuring excellent clinical outcomes.
- Represent us at surgical conferences across the designated region.

Qualifications
Requirement:Educational Skills:
Clinical/Technical Bachelors’ Degree Required; Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Surgical Physician’s Assistant (PA), or Perfusionist licensure, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent preferred
Working Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience of direct (at table) patient support in OR with cardiac surgery and/- or surgical medical devices in the field of Heart Failure and MCS (Mechanical circulatory support) (Perfusionist; ICU Nurse; OR nurse)
- Support business through 3+ years of commercial experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space, MCS.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery, perfusion medicine, mechanical circulatory support, structural heart anatomy
- Confidence, expertise and, familiarity of cardiac surgery and OR protocol is required.
- Willingness to travel/ cover multiple geographies required; previous experience desired.
- Up to 50%-75% overnight travel may be required depending on territory.
- Previous experience with Abiomed and/or other Cardiac medical devices highly desired.
