Job Summary:
As the Director of Policy Communications for Coupang's business in Taiwan, you will be responsible for engagement with local news media and for the creation of original media on matters related to public policy, governmental regulation, and Coupang's economic and social impact in Taiwan. You will act as a key advisor on strategic messaging and chief implementer of communications on topics related to the intersection between Coupang's business and the priorities of Taiwan's central governmental and municipal policymakers. This is a critical role in shaping the policy landscape to support Coupang's business growth.

Job Summary:
As the Director of Policy Communications for Coupang's business in Taiwan, you will be responsible for engagement with local news media and for the creation of original media on matters related to public policy, governmental regulation, and Coupang's economic and social impact in Taiwan. You will act as a key advisor on strategic messaging and chief implementer of communications on topics related to the intersection between Coupang's business and the priorities of Taiwan's central governmental and municipal policymakers. This is a critical role in shaping the policy landscape to support Coupang's business growth.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and execute strategic communications in the policy arena to advance business objectives.
- Help develop strategic messaging and creation of original content and earned media opportunities in the policy arena.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists focused on Taiwan governmental regulation and economic policy related to investment, technology, ecommerce, and trade.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, PR and operational teams, to align responses to policy-oriented news events.
- Advise and prepare senior executives and other team members for public events and engagement with media on topics related to policy.
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, communications or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a communications role with a demonstrated understanding of Taiwan's political land regulatory landscape. Past work in Taiwan's government or in a policy communications role preferred.
- An ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, fast-growth business environment and able to manage through ambiguity and approach challenges with a problem solving mindset.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
