Job Summary:
As the Senior Director for our retail business in Taiwan you will lead the strategy to launch our third-party (3P) marketplace business. In this role, you will build relationships with third-party sellers, manage marketplace operations, and drive revenue growth through best-in-class customer experiences. Job Summary:
As the Senior Director for our retail business in Taiwan you will lead the strategy to launch our third-party (3P) marketplace business. In this role, you will build relationships with third-party sellers, manage marketplace operations, and drive revenue growth through best-in-class customer experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up and make a significant impact on Coupang's growth in Taiwan.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of Coupang's 3P business in Taiwan. Define and implement processes for seller onboarding, category expansion, and operational excellence.
- Identify, recruit and onboard sellers that align with Coupang's customer centric approach. Foster strong, long-term partnerships to drive sustainable growth.
- Optimize marketplace performance through data-driven insights, ensuring that the 3P platform delivers high-quality service, competitive pricing, and an exceptional customer service.
- Partner with internal teams, including product, operations, marketing, and legal, to build scalable systems and processes that support growth. Collaborate to create seamless integrations between sellers and Coupang's platform.
- Own and manage P&L for the 3P business in Taiwan. Define revenue targets, monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to drive growth.
- Ensure that 3P operations deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, continuously improving the selection, pricing, and fulfillment experience for Taiwan-based customers.
- 15+ years experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, distribution or related fields, with a proven track record of growting 3P or similar business.
- Experience in Taiwan's e-commerce market, including knowledge of local seller ecosystems, retail and regulatory landscape.
- Familiarity with logistics and fulfillment processes in the context of third-party marketplace operations.
- A proven ability to negotiate and build lasting partnerships with third-party sellers and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including experience managing cross-functional teams and leading complex initiatives in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive business decisions.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
