The Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring market relevancy in the products and marketing areas. Relevant strategic planning, design and execution are required as it relates to the regional business plan and budget.
This position will be focused on design inputs that tailor product and marketing portfolios to the market to drive optimization and returns for Virtuoso programs.
This role must effectively champion the Virtuoso brand, growth of marketable (compliant) database and product portfolio– ensuring that key performance ratios are met/improved, and margins are optimized. This role plays an important role in ensuring the company’s understanding of the market.
This position has dual reporting. Functional reporting to International Marketing Liaison, Administrative reporting to the General Manager, Greater China.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure regional adherence to Virtuoso brand guidelines across all activities.
- Collaborate with Partner Relations and Product Team to develop annual product strategies for the market.
- Create annual marketing plans and opportunity guides that maximize investment with Virtuoso and ROI for the partner and develop annual marketing playbook and marketing budgets for the region in alignment with global marketing and enterprise playbooks.
- Reviews and provides recommendations to internal teams on the relevance and quality of the Virtuoso product range.
- Collaborate with in-market and marketing strategy teams to determine commercial approach for existing partners.
- Identify potential partners with Global Partner Teams and marketing strategy team to form a strategic approach to optimize product engagement.
- Drive communication on marketing of events for the region and oversee management of social media
- Collaborate with global team on development of event content, ensuring company messaging is consistent, relevant and on brand.
- Analyze non-preferred production reports and propose strategies on how to improve preferred market production.
- Keep Global Partner Relations abreast of market needs, competition, news, etc.
- Provide local market intelligence to partners so they can better understand the agencies in market and ultimately increase engagement and other marketing opportunities.
- Manage the marketing and product margin in accordance with the business plan and budget.
- Ensure compliance with the Virtuoso playbook.
- Delivery of key performance metrics as outlined in the Business plan.
- Other duties as required.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- 4+years related business experience
- Work history reflecting leadership skills and proven product management
- Strong experience in industry
- Understanding of the market
- Experience contributing at a senior level to team performance
- Proven track record of success in the luxury travel industry highly desired
- Expertise and experience in marketing and commercial dealings
- Fluency in English, Fluent Mandarin, Cantonese a plus
- Communication and leadership capabilities

Travel Requirements:
- 20%-35% of time for this role will be spent travelling, meeting with partners, attending events, partner conferences, and team meetings.
- Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.

- External: Various specialist service vendors.
- Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with managers outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
