Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct onsite checks and assessments to determine feasibility and identify any potential issues.
- Work closely with clients to check installation plans, schematics, and diagrams.
- Sample/small quantity rack building. Familiarize, evaluate, and prepare rack components and systems for integration sample build projects.
- Ensure the technical requirements and the installation process run smoothly and on schedule.
- Ensure the necessary equipment on-time delivery for each project.
- Manage and set timeline for installation, configuration, and maintenance of server racks at client sites.
- Ensure that all works comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform quality assurance checks on completed work.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during installation or maintenance.
- Document all work performed, including any changes made to equipment or configurations.
- A weekly status report, which summarizes weekly activities, is required and is submitted to Dept. Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Priority will be given to those with a "Class A Electrician" certification.
- Familiar with power line, network cable layout, and integration of water and electricity piping.
- Must understand the server/data center market and IT field or be interested in server system installation and cabling.
- Have the ability to solve issues related to rack systems.
- Proactive in working within deadlines and constraints, detail-oriented, and possessing strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
