Job Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful completion of Renewable energy projects. Right from supporting the business development during the origination phase and taking the overall responsibility of development and construction of the project and leading it to successful commercial operation of the projects. You will provide leadership to strategically manage risk, finances, ESG and ensure each phase of work is started and completed on time. You will lead the project team comprising of representatives from business development, Investment, WHSE, Legal, Engineering, Construction and Asset Management to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to the highest ESG standards. You will be managing one or more projects depending on the size and complexities of the project and will be working closely with country head and in country functional teams.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to be based in Taipei with the following requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
- and be responsible for Renewable Energy initiatives in their entirety, from inception to completion. This includes planning and managing operations to ensure each phase of the project is done on time and within budget. A key part of this is allocating the right resources, to the right areas, at the right times.
- a safety first and risk management culture in project teams.
- and manage the project scope and timelines.
- and manage the project budget during the development and construction phase.
- relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- project review meetings & reporting (both internal & external).
- the safe, high quality, on-budget and on time engineering and construction of renewable power generation facilities, particularly solar and wind power projects.
- project risks and develop and implement mitigation plans for the project including engineering, supply chain, construction and commercial aspects.
- with financial institutions and banks for fulfilling the condition’s precedent related to disbursement of funds during the project execution phase.
- in the improvement and implementation of systems to maximize safety, quality and efficiency in construction with timely delivery and insightful resource management and forecasting.
- local teams (including outsourced resourced and consultants) that can efficiently deliver new renewable power systems.
- and implement systems to accurately forecast key milestones for engineering and construction activities and forecast the resources required to meet these milestones.
- completion of the handover process to the Asset Management team.
- Degree or Post Graduate qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or similar level technical or commercial training.
- Project Management professionals will be preferred.
- and hands on 8 years of professional experience in managing projects with key focus on energy project development, preferably in solar, onshore wind or other renewable energy.
- experience in successfully leading large teams in a professional project management environment.
- network with local developers and EPC providers in Taiwan.
- advocate of WHSE compliance and acts ethically with fairness, honesty and integrity.
- project management skills including ability to plan work, work to the plan, manage risks and issues and drive outcomes in the face of tight timeframes and external pressures.
- to manage technical and regulatory discussions with appropriate engineering, regulatory and legal experts and government agencies as well as managing input requirements from internal support functions such as engineering, procurement, legal and finance.
- self-motivated and ambitious personality.
- to work autonomously / independently to identify new project opportunities and develop existing opportunities.
- communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- written and conversational English as well as ability to communicate with key stakeholders in Chinese.
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) skills.
- to travel extensively within Taiwan as and when required.
