Your role

• Lead Taiwan Product Compliance Team to establish and improve compliance process for the chemical-relevant regulations, i.e. Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act(TCSCA) 毒性及關注化學物質管理法, Regulation of new and existing chemical substance registration 新化學物質及既有化學物質資料登錄辦法, Regulation for Labeling and Hazard Communication of Hazardous Chemicals危害性化學品標示及通識規則, etc. and maintain capacity and flexibility to accommodate other required initiatives, such as, regulations by become applicable based on product development (e.g. HFCs, etc.) and projects
• Act as an advisory expert in Product Compliance topics during new product introduction, investment projects, etc. and ensure that product and project meet business needs in a manner of compliance
• Actively engaged in management of change so that the regulatory/hazard updates are effectively communicated to business, supply chain and customers
• Operate SAP EHS, GTS in line with principal process and guide/support Taiwan Key User activity
• Author SDS(safety data sheet) and ensure that regional product labeling meets GHS(Globally Harmonized System) and Dangerous Goods compliance obligation
• Act as a member of Global Product Stewardship Management and attend important decision making, such as design appropriate global SAP EHS environment, establishment of core process, etc.
• Govern the activity of trade compliance in TW as the compliance officer and manage the control of toxic chemical, drug precursor, strategic goods, export license, etc.
• Engage with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for relevant topics/proposed legislation

Who you are:

• BS degree in biology, chemistry, or equivalent scientific discipline
• 15+ years of Product Compliance Experience, pertaining to Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act, New and Existing Chemical Substance Registration, Hazard Communication, etc., and the understanding of comparable regional regulations
• Prior experience to manage or supervise a team of experienced professional and represent company to the relevant competent authorities and Industrial Associations
• Experience for SAP EHS module or comparable system which supports SDS authoring, label and compliance check
• Knowledgeable for trade compliance related topics, i.e., drug precursor, strategic material control, GTS system (preferred), HS(harmonized system) code assignment for chemical, etc.
• Excellent communication and organization skills, Proficiency with learning technology and navigating information systems and tools
• Fluent in Chinese and English (verbal and written) is required
