Job Description

Team Summary

Business Development Function is a client facing organization that plays a crucial role as the prime point of contact between Visa and Clients, it is key to our ongoing operation as well as long-term success.

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Leader who reports into General Manager to lead a team managing the business of Visa with large, strategic and important Taiwan client, to ensure the delivery of a profitable revenue and development of Visa’s brand, reputation, business presence and impact. This includes development and execution of business strategies, operation plans, client relationship management, sales executions, people management and project management.
What a Senior Director does at Visa:
  • This role, acting as prime point of contact between Visa and Clients is crucial to our ongoing operation and long-term success. This role incorporates financial result accountability and requires sharp financial acumen, strong business orientation, outstanding communication skills, strong execution and complex account management and people management skills. This is a multi-disciplined role which requires a broad understanding of Visa products and services.
  • Develop and achieve country plan objectives through account management and business development efforts.
  • Responsible for the engagement with the client’s relevant functions and oversee the day-to-day relationship with the client. Establish and maintain positive, beneficial, and constructive relationships with key stakeholders and influence client preference for Visa through provision of valuable business solutions through Visa capabilities. You also need to have strong executive coverage capabilities.
  • Design and implement account plan to address opportunities to increase Visa shares and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Build, Lead and manage a high performing team (direct or indirect) to drive for business results.
  • Deliver financial targets including revenue, payment volume and other targets.
  • Co-ordinate and bond internal stakeholders to deliver cohesively compiled value-added services, and support to the client. Unite internal functions, including Product, Marketing, Risk, Operations, Finance, Client Support, etc., to set and deliver the strategic agenda for Visa's business with the client to increase penetration of Visa's payment products and programs via the introduction of new initiatives or the expansion of existing ones.
  • Ensure accurate financial management of the client via the development of logical forecasting and reporting. Manage and monitor the process of the contracts with the client.
  • Achieve Client Engagement Survey targets.
  • Maintain a strong control environment.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Minimum 15 years of proven sales experience, with strong account management experience and project management experience. An expert of consultative selling.
  • Recognized degree preferably in Business/Economics/Finance
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, communication, and management skills to build strong winning teams, lead and coordinate complex plans and initiatives, as well as working with senior leaders and other experts across geographies and functions. Capable to influence and build credibility as a peer with internal stakeholders
  • Proficient business English both writing and speaking.
  • Experienced in working for large, international matrix organizations. Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities and articulation.
  • Proven strategic planning experience as well as on successfully leading and executing complex project.
  • Capable to identify, develop and implement opportunities that will drive business growth for Visa and the Client.
  • Deep understanding of payments industry and ecosystem.
  • Excellent relationship management skills. Ability to establish and manage relationship at multi-level with internal and external clients, especially with major executives.
  • A digital mindset that can always stay on top of latest market development
