GroupM | Executive, Ad Operation

Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Manage the set-up campaigns, placements and creative assets through the use of 3rd party ad serving platforms and vendor interfaces.
- Maintain regular checks and analysis of campaigns to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Work with external vendors and publishers to resolve issues quickly including creative, tag and reporting.
- Attend interdepartmental meetings and provide advice on Ad Operation best practice, campaign optimisation, reporting and tracking requirements.
- Monitor reporting on a daily basis to ensure campaigns are running as expected, providing optimization recommendations and escalating to third parties when appropriate.
- Present in internal team meetings and participate in client meetings on an ad hoc basis.
- Support team leadership in the continual assessment of ad tech platforms and tools; and provide support in testing of different products, including client recommendations, implementations and consulting
- Support client deliverables and projects on an ad-hoc basis.
- Act as an ambassador of ad operations across the agency. Train new starters and continually educate teams on recent developments; building advocacy across the agency.
- Collaborate with multiple development teams to engineer and manage a digital data layer across all digital assets that follows best practices
- Serve as the "Tagging Architect" by evolving and managing the solution design reference documentation which outlines analytics variables, rules, and use cases across web properties and applications
- Create, manage, and enforce digital analytics tagging standards to ensure robust and consistent data is captured for analysis
- Develop custom solutions using Java Script with within for tracking user behavior with Analytics by manipulating data from Java Script objects, HTML markup, URLs, and Cookies
- Work with app development teams to implement Analytics in native app
- Test and validate the implementation of Analytics tagging changes throughout the development lifecycle
- Educate testing teams on the tools and methods to validate digital analytics tagging effectively
- Manage Analytics configurations including variables, classifications, and processing rules
- Translate Digital Team’ questions into KPIs and that can be measured from tracking user interactions on-site and within mobile applications
- Assist planning team and marketing teams as a subject matter expert for the marketing suite of applications, with a focus on buying platform.
- 2+ years’ experience in ad operations advertising operations with demonstrable knowledge of ad serving, preferably gained agency side
- 1+ years’ experience working with tag management solutions such as Google Tag Manager (GTM) with an excellent understanding of tagging best practices.
- Diligent and attentive to detail; able to follow through on projects and/or issues independently
- Confidence in making information-based decisions
- An active interest in everything digital, ideally with an understanding of online advertising industry trends
- A self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Able to multitask, priorities and manage expectations.
- Some experience working with Campaign Manager 360, Sizmek, Flashtalking and other 3rd party ad servers
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, Java Script or PHP would be a bonus
- Experience working with j Query, Regular Expressions, and CSS selectors
- Knowledge on DSPs, DMPs, Tag Management Systems, Ad Verification or Site Analytics tools would be a bonus
- Computer literate with good skills in all basic Office programmes (including Excel)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
