Job Overview:
Primary French Teacher (Academic Year 25/26 starting)
(Teaching License or PGCE/QTS required)
Bangkok Patana School seeks an inspirational and dedicated Primary French Teacher to join our dynamic Modern Languages team, compromising French, Spanish and Mandarin teachers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love for language learning, guiding students on their journey to becoming confident French speakers, and contributing to an inclusive, vibrant learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners to explore the French language and culture, building confidence and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging French lessons that inspire curiosity, language acquisition, and intercultural understanding.
• Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere where every student feels confident expressing themselves in French, regardless of their starting point.
• Guide students in developing their French language skills, encouraging personal expression and experimentation with vocabulary and grammar.
• Organise competitions, cultural events and language showcases, providing students with opportunities to celebrate their learning and share their achievements.
• Promote an inclusive approach to language learning, ensuring all students feel seen, valued, and supported in their progress.
• Contribute to the school’s culture of learning, well-being, and global citizenship, while promoting a respectful and caring environment.
• Engage fully with the life of the school, including participating in extra-curricular activities and school-wide initiatives.
• Note, this role also requires the successful candidate to also support and cover in mainstream classrooms for (up to) 6 periods a week, due to a reduced French teaching timetable.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
• An undergraduate degree in French or Modern Languages (or similar).
• Significant experience in teaching French in Primary settings, ideally within an international school context.
• Experience working in a large, multi-form entry school.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to the well-being and safeguarding of students.
