Program Manager

Job Description
Quasar’s Program Management Team, comprising of Program Managers and Program Specialists, manage and are responsible for P&L for designated programs as well as ensuring excellent customer experience. As the Program Manager, you will be responsible to ensure a program meets customer expectations – defined by on-time delivery, quality of products delivered, and providing excellent customer support. Program Managers work with KAM, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across Quasar and act as the primary point of contact for customers at Quasar.

Responsibilities
Deliver on P&L targets for assigned programs.
Ensure targets for quality and on-time delivery are met with excellent customer experience.
Act as the interface between customers and Quasar’s internal teams by coordinating internal activities and providing timely updates to customers.
Initiate and/or manage cost reduction activities such as continuous improvement projects, localization projects, etc., to meet customer and internal expectations.
Prepare for and chair operations review meetings with customers, as well as prepare for strategic governance meetings with customers.
Oversee the planning and implementation of production plans, including the receipt of sales forecasts, assurance of availability of all resources required for proper manufacturing, including capacity availability of equipment, space, raw materials, direct labor, as well as EOL and LLI management.
Manage implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, relevant to the program, as approved by Quasar Group Management.
Hold core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with Quasar’s quality system procedures.
Manage resource planning and staffing activities for specific programs.
Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.
Facilitate the resolution of program issues by team members.
Drive compliance and remove barriers to achieve strategic initiatives and goals.
Ensure compliance to PMO processes, procedures, and use of PMO templates.
Regularly keep management informed of risks, issues, and status of ongoing projects.
Requirements
Educational Background and Experience
Relevant degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.
Three (3) or more years of program management experience in the manufacturing of medical devices.
Skills and Competencies
Experience in the matrix management of a program team.
Knowledge of FDA regulations preferred.
Must be results-oriented.
Demonstrated business acumen and confidence in communicating to senior management and customers.
Demonstrated ability in managing systems, managing up, and managing peers.
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and programs and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Experience in product/project lifecycle implementation and strong process and systems understanding preferred.
Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and component or assembly design principles required.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication, problem-solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, online collaboration tools, and databases required.
