Job Title : Quality Assurance Manager
Job Objective : To manage overall quality support in Sale, Market and Value Chain functions on technical & product & management system perspectives in Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore
Main duties and responsibilities
Responsible to support end-use customer & 3PM manufacturer (60%)
- Ensure product developments and manufactures at factory are consistent to the quality requirements and comply with the internal/the external standard (comply with the requirements of the Quality Manual and meet all relevant GMP regulatory and legislative requirements) and achieve all critical success factors.
- Ensure a development of Bill of Material (BOM) with accurate product information into business operating system. Support / Co-ordinate with manufacturer to produce the product sample for customer trial.
- Provide technical recommendation in trouble shootings in production and lead the investigation of related product performances to come up with resolutions and implementation.
- Lead and implement the Quality Management System & Drive periodic review of Quality Systems at the manufacturers, to complement audit process. Conduct root cause analysis reviews for identification of issues and development of remedial actions.
- Lead/conduct supplier/customer audit for contractor manufacturer and material supplier, such as ISO9001, GMP, ISO 22000 in food, drug and cosmetics market. Execute the assessment plan for material supplier. Assess the CAPA to ensure NCMs are effectively closed.
- Organize the Business review of quality. Monitor the quality performance of the manufacturers driving remedial action where necessary. Monitor and assess manufactures’ key performance indicators, such as complaints Right First Time, Finished good quality index, Hygiene index as a mechanism to propose Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the customer complaints are monitored, trending analyzed, investigated to establish the proper corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Demonstrate continuous improvement and minimize risk by a routine self-assessment, corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), and use of a Quality Plan.
- Supervise chemical laboratory in regard to Safety policy, good laboratory practice and 5S.
Responsible to ensure technical support to internal needs as following (40%)
- Support new product & packaging development / deployment and innovation launch by working with cross functional teams (Procurement, Supply chain, Marketing, Regulatory, Factory, Regional/Global Product Category lead etc)
- Lead/support alternative raw material or sources assessment and testing.
- Lead/support the localization project SEA and cost optimization project.
- Support the technical data for claim, formula validation and regulatory compliance.
- Support supply chain unit on technical issue / alternative materials.
- Organize the technical training on product technical knowledge, quality system harmonization and product application to commercial team.
- Provide technical input and align product change with Lead Markets.
Education and experience requirements for job
- B.S. / M.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemical or related fields.
- Quality professional with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in chemical industrial, cleaning & sanitizing products, food & beverage are referred. Include 2+ years of management experience in leading quality assurance processes in growing organizations, in special at manufacturing sites, supplier management and customer service.
Skills / Competency requirements for job
- Familiar with quality management system/requirement in food, drug and cosmetics market. ISO9001 certification is must, GMP, ISO 22000 certifications are preferred.
- A proven track record of quality system implementation experience.
- Skilled in conducting studies and investigations, problem analysis, and developing logical and documented recommendations.
- Skilled in interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, policy statements, and other guideline materials.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a collaborative environment with a positive leadership style and a hands-on approach that emphasizes team work, collaboration, influencing, motivating, and consensus and team building.
- Skilled in establishing effective interpersonal relationship and able to influence others without direct control.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Must be a results-oriented, take-charge, hands-on leader who is organized, focused, and an excellent communicator and team builder who is highly professional, must be skilled at developing and leading teams from the ground up and you must lead through example.
- Willing to work under pressure.
