Regional Trade Product Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly responsible for executing deliver end-to-end trade product initiatives in alignment with global and regional objectives
  • Support ASEAN countries in their local product enhancements and commercialization of new initiatives
  • Work jointly with Sales and Coverage to drive revenues, asset growth, pipeline growth, product depth, geographic breadth, returns and commercialization
  • Liaise with local third party vendors or regulators as and when necessary on innovation projects
Financial Performance and profitability
  • Support local teams as and when required on the origination process, while ensuring that pricing meets profitability of product(s)
  • Determine standard product pricing and monitor collection of fee and NII for the product line.
  • Develop jointly with the local Sales team a local Product & Sales strategy to meet the country objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to capture the opportunities, mitigate the threats and deliver financial performance. Recommend and plan actions to build or reinforce our competitive edge
  • Drive end-to-end product performance, improving efficiency through digital transformation, straight through processing and ensuring scalability to grow
Product Management and Development
  • Manage all queries with regards to Trade and Vendor Management in TH (when required)
  • Responsible for articulating the product strategy and executing product initiatives on the annual operating plan in conjunction with the Regional Trade Product Head
  • Responsible for understanding customer needs and develop the client value propositions that will address them across all client segments
  • Key person to be responsible for enrolling suppliers under the Global and Local Supplier Finance programs which includes marketing SCF proposition to suppliers, working with internal stakeholders to achieve seamless onboarding etc
  • Sponsor launches of product enhancements, new products, as required for Trade. Work jointly with Sales and Marketing to develop collaterals for local market, communicate product launches, organize customer events and develop a sales campaign strategy to ensure that the new products meet planned volume and revenue targets
  • Ensuring global training initiatives are executed for the country in line with the global commercialization agenda.
  • Identify and market-size new business opportunities and revenue pools and articulate the product and client access capabilities needed to seize a share of them
  • Act as the main conduit for the product line linked investment cases (BRD or PAR or its equivalent) for product development or enhancements and for local regulatory requirements
  • Establish a strategy that drives a customer-centric view into Transaction Banking with activities including but not limited to focus groups, customer surveys and Voice of the Customer.
Commercialisation
  • Responsible for commercialization of new product capabilities by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for its launch
  • Provide ongoing support and training to TB sales, RMs, Risk and GTO staff to provide assistance to facilitate understanding of product nuances and operating controls.
Risk & Governance
  • Identify and mitigate the Operational, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to Trade products in the country.
  • Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior.
  • Ensure timely renewal of Trade country addendums (CAs) and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks.
  • Build strong & deep relationships with regulatory authorities and local industry bodies, and ensure the business is ahead of the regulatory change agenda

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Thailand CIB Transaction Banking; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats)
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Corporation Banking / Trade finance experience
  • More than 8 years experience in driving Trade products
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate and understand legal agreements supporting trade product solutions
  • Strong analytical and program marketing skill
  • Strong drive for results, ability to plan, track and follow through to drive results
  • Strong program management skills, attention to detail and diligence in execution
  • Proven risk management capabilities
  • Language skill – fluent in both English and Thai
