We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Environmental team in Thailand to help us meet these goals both now and into the future.

What You’ll Work On
The Sales Engineer expands the sales of Campbell Scientific products by generating new business and ensures growth of existing customer accounts. Assesses potential application of CS products and services in an assigned geographic region and offers solutions that meet those customers’ needs. Educates customers and communicates customer feedback for future product development. Uses technical knowledge of CS product and service offerings to support and build sales.
You Will Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks
Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with Campbell Scientific’s core ARCTIC values

  • Actively grow Campbell Scientific’s sales revenue by understanding and acting on current and future needs of clients.
  • Leverage background and contacts within the industry to develop business and to match solutions with customer needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for key stakeholders representing the market.
  • Travel for the purpose of sales and customer relations visits.
  • Actively manage key customer accounts and build relationships with new clients.
  • Recruit and develop Value-Added Resellers (VAR) and Integrators in alignment with sales strategy.
  • Help guide internal product development, marketing, and sales plans based on market needs including the development of case studies, courses, and product brochures.
  • Respond to and follow up on requests for quotes and product information and provide education opportunities for customers on CS products.
  • Complete work for client bids and assigned tasks ahead of deadlines.
  • Configure complex data acquisition systems and multi-station networked solutions based on detailed correspondence with customers.
  • Recognize and report on changes in the market and obtain feedback from customers to achieve and maintain competitive products and services.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science in a technology, environmental science, energy, engineering field, business or other related fields of study (directly relevant experience may be considered as equivalent).
  • Technical sales experience in one of the following areas:
    • Environmental
    • Hydrology
    • Meteorology
  • Experience with common Campbell Scientific instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic remote automated measurement equipment, devices, and peripherals.
  • Proficiency with using CRM (Client Relationship Management) tools.
  • Experience working in a virtual or remote environment.
  • Use and familiarity with telecommunications equipment is an asset.
  • Basic computer programming concepts is an asset.
  • Saa S experience is an asset
  • Proactive and self-motivated to increase sales.
  • Self-discipline to thriving in a remote-office environment.
  • Understanding computer networking protocols.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and office specific software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and customer-service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
  • This is an office environment with most of the time spent on a personal computer assisting customers via multiple communication systems including email and telephone
  • Periodic travel may be required. Work environment during travel could include airports, car/trucks, offices, workshops, tradeshow, installation sites, etc. 10-25% travel conferences, client visits, or training.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, move, carry over short distances up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking up and down stairs, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, and able to withstand extended walking, sometime on uneven terrain, walkways, and hills while in the field.
