THE PROPERTY
The turquoise Aegean laps Amanruya’s private pebble beach, while ancient pine forests scent the air. Resting amid olive groves and cypress trees on the Bodrum Peninsula’s serene north coast, the village-like resort with its 35 keys is a secluded retreat offering an abundance of space and privacy in free-standing guest pavilions, all with private pools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements an operational strategy that aligns with Aman’s overall business objectives, ensuring seamless execution. Collaborates with the team to establish sustainable work processes and systems that support long-term strategic goals.
- Focuses the operations team on key drivers of guest satisfaction and financial performance, making informed decisions to steer the property toward achieving its targets and continuously improving operational efficiency.
- Champions the resort's service vision by fostering alignment across the Leadership team, ensuring that product and service delivery meet the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
- Establishes a trusting and professional relationship with the owner as a business partnership and supports the relationship between Aman, the General Manager and the owner.
- Balances owner’s objectives with Aman’s objectives to produce mutually beneficial solutions.
- Maintains a strong guest presence and regularly engages with guests to gather feedback on the quality of products, service levels, and overall guest satisfaction, driving continuous improvement and a personalized guest experience.
- Leads talent development efforts by creating personalized development plans for team members based on their individual strengths, growth opportunities, and career aspirations. Ensures managers are equipped to do the same for their teams, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and excellence.
- Collaborates on innovative marketing initiatives aimed at increasing market share, positioning the resort as a leader in the luxury segment through creative and strategic promotional efforts.
- Drives sales performance by ensuring the operations team has a well-defined sales strategy with ambitious goals, while motivating and inspiring team members to maximize their individual and collective contributions.
- Works closely with the corporate team to successfully deliver future residential projects, ensuring alignment with the brand’s standards and strategic vision for growth.
- Exhibits strong project management skills to efficiently manage the unique challenges of a seasonal property, ensuring seamless operations during peak periods and optimizing resource allocation, staffing, and maintenance during the off-season to maintain property readiness and financial performance year-round.
QUALIFICATIONS
- We are looking for a visionary leader with a strong background in managing luxury resorts. Experience working in a remote location is preferred.
- The successful candidate will be a charismatic ambassador for the property, setting the highest standards of personal presentation and must be able to uphold the reputation of the property through a quality-driven, guest-focused approach.
- You will be a strong operational, highly-organized leader who is visible in the business and enjoys interacting with guests. In addition, you will be skilled at building relationships with stakeholders.
- In addition to a deep understanding of luxury, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at identifying growth opportunities and fostering innovation. You will possess strong business acumen to ensure top and bottom-line performance and act with integrity.
- We are looking for a dynamic, approachable leader who leads by example, inspiring colleagues and fostering a culture of excellence. You will be passionate about colleague engagement and make team development a priority.
- You will have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or other relevant discipline and be fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- You will have a proven track record as a leader in ultra-luxury hospitality operation and have demonstrated success in leading teams and working with external stakeholders.
- Previous experience managing a seasonal hospitality operation is beneficial.
