SPD Technology is looking for a Node.js Back-End Engineer.

About the project

We are developing an event management platform designed to help companies streamline their meeting and event booking processes. Our platform makes it easy for anyone to plan successful events while providing finance teams with the visibility and control they need to optimize their budgets. We are currently working with over 200 companies across North America, including Pw C, L’Oréal, Google, Samsung, and Airbnb. Our mission is to disrupt a $500+ billion industry, and we’re looking for brilliant minds who are driven to think creatively and deliver exceptional solutions. Tech stack

Node.js, Type Script, Express.js, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Postgre SQL

Work schedule

Time zone: Eastern Time (ET), Canada, Montreal. Usual working hours are 15:00 – 23:00 Kyiv time.

We’re looking for you if you have

• 5+ years of experience in Node.js and Type Script for back-end development
• Experience with Express.js for building server-side applications and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly with cloud services like Cloud Functions, App Engine, or Cloud Storage
• Strong understanding of Postgre SQL for designing and managing relational databases
• Familiarity with building scalable and secure APIs and services
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Client-centric mindset with a focus on UX and creating developer-friendly back-end systems
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders in fast-moving environments
• Strong attention to detail in delivering quality code
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
• Familiarity with enterprise software development processes
• Experience in owning products from concept to deployment

Nice to have

• Experience working in a microservices architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
