Senior MS SQL Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MS SQL Administrator to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our MS SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, and update MS SQL Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and higher databases
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the database systems
- Manage database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Implement and maintain highly available and scalable database solutions
- Conduct database capacity planning and performance tuning
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
- Ensure compliance with database best practices and standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior database administrators
- Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in database management
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience with MS SQL Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and higher databases
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in installing, updating, and configuring MS SQL Server databases
- Proven experience in migrating older versions of MS SQL Server to MS SQL Server 2019 and higher
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in optimizing SQL codes
- Understanding of the full lifecycle of database development and operation
- Experience in database operations including backup, recovery, standby creation, and managing highly available clusters
- Familiarity with managing access rights, users, and procedures
- Fluent in Ukrainian and basic written and reading proficiency in English

- Microsoft certification is a plus but not mandatory
