About the role:
As a Senior/Principal Back End PHP Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
We are looking for a seasoned Senior or Principal Back-End PHP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of robust, scalable solutions. This role is perfect for a candidate with deep PHP expertise and a strong grasp of full-stack development, particularly in enterprise-level applications featuring complex business logic. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with API integrations, front-end frameworks, and AWS cloud services, as well as a firm understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PHP applications tailored for enterprise environments
• Collaborate with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Build and manage APIs, specifically leveraging Node.js for back-end and React for front-end integrations
• Develop applications using traditional PHP back-end development practices, preferably with experience in the Yii framework
• Actively participate in Agile/SCRUM project management, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
• Optimize applications to ensure speed, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade legacy software systems as needed
• Conduct code reviews, uphold high standards in code quality, and adhere to development best practices

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior PHP Developer with a proven track record in large-scale enterprise settings
• In-depth knowledge of back-end technologies, with a particular focus on PHP, My SQL, and Mongo DB
• Experience in API-centric development, with proficiency in Node.js and React
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks; familiarity with the Yii framework is preferred
• Advanced understanding of AWS services, including VPC, Cloud Front CDN, load balancing, auto-scaling, S3 buckets, and EC2
• Strong foundation in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, with experience contributing to team-led project structures
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud-based application development and deployment
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices to support seamless deployment and continuous integration
