Electrical Tendering and Cost Estimation Engineer - MUST BE ARABIC SPEAKER
Purpose of the Job
To support the Company in in getting and securing its market share by preparing a competitive technical and commercial offers in line with UAE Clients requirements, Company objectives and market demands. Balance between quoting completive bids and proposals and saving the company interest by not exposing it to major risk.
Support Company increasing its market shares by covering wide range of business opportunities.
Network & Links
He will create and establish strong connections and relations with all clients in UAE. Liaise with major manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and subcontractors those approved by major UAE Clients in Energy, Oil & Gas.
Objectives

• Being working in Electrical Substation Construction and Trading of its related equipment, the candidate must support and contribute to the Company business growth by preparing offers and costing for all tenders selected by the Company.
• Increase and improve Company costing process allowing better pricing and increasing the chances of securing more business.
• Increase the Company hitting rate by 15-20%. Increase company market share.
• Develop costing and pricing model to support sales and marketing strategy and improve time consuming for tendering and costing preparation.
• Improve the company relations with all stake holders in UAE (Clients, Manufacturers, Suppliers, Subcontractors, etc.)

Measurement

• Costing hitting rate, business growth. portfolio expansion, market share increase.
• Market intelligence and due diligence and determine the right market price level.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of technical and commercial proposal.
• Able to study and estimate all kind of tenders in electrical substations field.
• Able to review and evaluate offers technically as well as commercially and do best partner selections.
• Aware of the international INCO Terms and FEDEC
• Minimum acceptable knowledge of all substations
• · components {orientation, busbar configuration, power transformers, HV/MV/LV SWGR, Protection, AC/DC systems, etc.)
• Able to prepare tender cash flow.
• Can manage tenders’ clarifications and deviations.
• Explore all risks and opportunities at the bidding stage.
• Able to negotiate the prices and commercial aspects at bidding stage.
• Able to determine the market price level.
• Able to evaluate and analyze competitor’s strategies and approach.
• Able to challenge internal and external stakeholders for the best prices and offers.
• Able to maintain good and strong relations with all bidding stake holders.
• Having the minimum technical background in Electrical Transmission and Distribution field enables him to understand the tenders’ technical and commercial requirements and to challenge internal and external partners.
• Having long experience and strong knowledge of UAE market including process, players, terms and conditions.
• Able to estimate and cost wide range of business and wide range of price level for utilities, oil and gas.
• Promote the Company existing business portfolio and have continuous and steady growth.
• Increase our Company Market share in electrical construction, trading, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Educational Requirements: Electrical Engineer with 10 to 15 years experience in tendering and cost estimation on Electrical construction buisness and products.
Desired Knowledge / Experience

• Able to work under pressure, meeting tenders dead lines, Shall have minimum khowledge in sales and marketing of 132k V Substations Constructions, engineered electrical package, major S/S electrical products, industrial field in UAE.
• Have good knowledge in electrical products with acceptable technical background.
• Knowing UAE Market, major utilities clients, oil & gas Clients, major international EPC Contractors.

Behavioral Skills / Competencies: Strong personality, proactive, customer oriented, deep knowledge in tendering and cost estimation, ambitious, self motivated, strategic thinking, discipline, fluent in English, communication skills, results oriented, strong negotiations and convincing skills, very good knowledge of computer software.
Technical Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of UAE Markets. Strong technical knowledge in electrical products in both utility market as well as oil and gas market.
