NEP Singapore, India & MENA

Head of Operations

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Sales department & President to have a full clarity of project responsibilities and contractual obligations which fall on the Company and ensure to include responsible teams in project planning of MENA projects.

Work closely with the Technical Managers based in SG/IN to make sure that technical scope is well communicated, and all equipment, purchases, repairs, sub-rentals and facilities and services requirements for projects are understood and addressed by the Operations Department in SG/IN.

Ensure timely and cost-effective preparation for all MENA projects, by coordinating equipment allocation and logistic movements from Singapore /India office.

Coordinate with the Crewing Team to schedule engineers for equipment / truck testing, preparation and assignment of engineers on projects.

Oversee all project deliveries in all technical and non-technical aspects and responsible to ensure that project scope, schedules, and budgets are accurately planned, monitored, shared and met.

Monitor progress of all ongoing projects in MENA – both Flypack & OB truck, prioritize task and team assignments when a new project is confirmed, or in accordance with any change in the scope or status of projects.

Ensure timely action towards any project update by timely providing of information on all project matters to departments/individuals who are responsible to act based on that information.

Support onsite staff when dealing with any issue related to equipment, logistics, third parties, or equipment shortage and breakdown, by acting promptly, and leading the effort for resolving the issue.

Overseeing establishment and operations of Warehouse and ensure compliance of health and safety guidelines.

Ensure proper work practice is in place for equipment handling, packing, and unpacking in order to keep the people and equipment safe.

Set up business processes in Operations to take the business beyond the startup stage and ready to scale, with the appropriate processes and systems in place.

To support the RFQ process and work closely with the Director of Operations in Singapore.

Others:

Support the MD to ensure that Operations Department meets all internal control, quality, and loss prevention and audit standards including preparation of yearly budgets for the Operations Department.

Nurture positive relationships with clients, vendors and clients to grow the business.

Protect the Company’s assets, brand reputation and image, and report any related issues to President, COO or MD.

Identify and attract talent to the Business particularly in Engineering and Operations. Engage and retain staff through coaching, training, and development of the Operations team.

Assist the MD and collaborate with Human Resources on manpower need analysis, performance management, and training and development matters for the Operations Department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience of minimum 8 years in an operations/warehouse environment.
Fluent in Arabic in a professional setting.
Familiarity with the broadcasting landscape in the UAE and the Middle East region.
Local knowledge of import export within the GCC Countries is a must.
Conversant with the local regulations of movements of goods.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Good to have:

Proven experience of setting up of operations and/or warehouse.
Industry experience with Flypack Kits and/or OB Vans/Trucks
