Position Title: Operation Theatre Nurse
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Department: Operating Room
Reports To: Head Nurse / Chief Surgeon
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operation Theatre Nurse to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Joint Commission International (JCIA) accredited hospital and possess a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license as a Registered Nurse. The Operation Theatre Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready.
2. Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure details according to hospital protocols.
3. Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
4. Monitor and manage the sterile field, maintaining aseptic techniques at all times.
5. Assist the surgical team with the preparation and handling of instruments, sutures, and other surgical materials.
6. Provide support to the surgical team, including passing instruments and anticipating needs during the procedure.
7. Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition promptly.
8. Assist in transferring patients to the recovery area and provide post-operative care as required.
9. Monitor patients’ recovery and report any concerns or complications to the appropriate medical staff.
10. Ensure all documentation related to the surgical procedure and patient care is completed accurately and promptly.
11. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other operating room staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
12. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Adhere to DHA hospital policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols.
14. Maintain confidentiality and ensure patient privacy at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operation Theatre Nurse in a JCIA-accredited hospital - with hands on JCIA experience
Licenses/Certifications:
1. Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Pay: Up to AED8,000.00 per month
