Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Trade Sales team. Responsible for driving sales, business development, and account management within a designated UK territory for the Midlands region. You will manage all aspects of the customer experience, from account administration to fostering long-term relationships. This role is based from our head office in Bourne, with travel to visit new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts and developing new business within your territory.
- Work collaboratively with the Trade Sales team to ensure that the brand is represented in the highest regard and reaches the target customer.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on product offering and designs so as to provide a personal and bespoke service to our trade customers.
- Management of new and existing key accounts and independent retailers to include gift shops, cook shops, garden centres, farm shops and department stores.
- Regularly meet with customers to enhance customer engagement and drive sales growth.
- Analyse sales data to identify opportunities and optimize client relationships.
- Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets and maintaining a high level of motivation and drive.
- There will be opportunities to attend events and represent the Sophie Allport brand.
- Management of our ‘customer matrix’ and maintaining customer data within the CRM.
- Identify and implement innovative strategies to increase sales across all product categories.
- Build long-lasting relationships with trade customers, suppliers and other external contacts.
- Remain informed on all relevant risk assessment and H&S measures in place.
- Adhere to all H&S policies relevant to their role and department.
- Previous experience within trade retail sales is key to be able to understand our customer’s needs.
- Results-orientated with a passion to achieve KPIs
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Analytical and resilient in nature
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer focused - Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic.
- Ability to grasp new processes, procedures and concepts quickly.
- A strong work ethic and someone who is self-motivated.
- Good time and diary management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, and competent using MS Excel functions and formulas.
- A full clean driving licence is essential as you will be expected to be on the road and visiting customers.
- A genuine interest in lifestyle, homewares and interiors are an advantage.
- The successful candidate must have Right to Work in the UK.
