The Job
Sales Manager, MG Leeds
Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, This is a BIG job! You will be responsible for 6 sales advisors for all aspects of new and used car sales, delivering on all KPIs and working closely with our dedicated Customer Experience team to ensure that our customers receive the very best in customer service. Leading our sales team with a focus on every lead, generating best in class responses and follow ups. We use the Dealer web diary management system and one of your prime roles will be to ensure that this system is used correctly and that our customers are kept updated and informed accordingly throughout the sales journey, assisting with valuations as our team are self-empowered to sit and value part exchanges with customers. We need them to be continuously challenged, retrained, coached, motivated and mentored to make them the very best in what they do and this will be down to the sales manager. To ensure we keep abreast of the competition we want our teams to keep in touch with the people that pay our wages and ensure that the relationship between the customer and ourselves is maintained and then re-contacted when the time comes for renewal of the customer wants.
The Candidate
This is not your standard sales manager job. You're not working for a big corporate, you have the responsibility and head room to implement on a level normally seen at GSM/DP level. We require a very energetic, experienced, flexible and effervescent person who manages his team using his core skills rather than by fear. We expect them to lead by example and to be at the very forefront of the industry. They will be charismatic, knowledgeable and above all else approachable, so that they can remedy any situation within reason. You will have a proven track record in managing a team at the very highest level and be an excellent communicator in all aspects including oral and written work, comfortable with technology and how best to employ it within our business infrastructure you will be at the very heart of our MG sales business and will work closely with your team and our additional managers to ensure we remain at the very top of the MG dealership network. You will have a hands-on approach to ensure that every customer feels they have received the very best in what we can offer and a fine eye for detail to ensure that every opportunity has been explored and taken advantage of. You will be presently running a sales team within a franchised dealer and are looking to increase your experience and reward.
The Reward
An excellent basic salary and commission package that will reward the results required with a package capable of more than £70k. You will be paid a % of the department gross profit, with scaled increments based on performance against KPIs. This is uncapped and offers a degree of flexibility for the right candidate. After 2 full accounting quarters in service you will be eligible for the company profit share and after 3 months of service, you will be eligible for private health care and to be enrolled within our pension scheme.
You will work a 2-week ( in effect 5-day week ) rota schedule which includes working every other weekend.
