Hamberley Neurocare, Southampton opened in September 2024, and will provide rehabilitation, recovery, and residential care for people living with complex neurological conditions.
We are looking for passionate, caring individuals to be part of our new home. More than care assistants, carers or healthcare assistants, Life Skills Specialists are carers, therapy assistants and companions all in one. They take the time to get to know our residents and are trusted to give each individual the care they need, in the way they like.

What you'll be doing:

• You’ll care for people in the way a family member might care for someone in their home.
• Whether you’re supporting residents with personal care, helping make their bed, supporting them with their meals, spending time with them to understand their care needs, arranging a family meal with their loved ones or taking them to the beauty salon; you’ll always be doing something different.
• You’ll assist with activities daily living, providing support and building relationships with residents by spending quality time together as a friend and companion.
• You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team

To apply you will need:

• Minimum of one year's previous experience working as a healthcare assistant
• NVQ 2or NVQ3, desirable but not essential
• Able to work a minimum of 22 hours per week
• As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
• Live within 30 minutes of the Care Home
