Overview
The role of a Care Worker is vital in providing compassionate and dedicated support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Care Workers play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for those they care for, whether in assisted living facilities, private homes, or community settings. Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to assist clients with specific needs.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition or behaviour.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.

Skills

• Experience in patient care or childcare is essential for understanding client needs.
• Proficiency in meal preparation that meets dietary requirements is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to perform first aid when required and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
• Capability to manage heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
• Previous experience in assisted living environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
