Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of those in our care, whether they are seniors in a nursing home or children requiring specialised support.
Duties

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Support individuals with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all clients.
• Document care provided and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to enhance the emotional well-being of clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in patient care, childcare, or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to care.
• Certification or training in relevant fields such as nursing or caregiving is an advantage.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all clients.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
