Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpet/ Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare surfaces for flooring installation
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures
- Lay, cut, fit, and fasten flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, or wood
- Repair or replace damaged flooring
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters to ensure a smooth installation process
Experience
- Previous experience in floor laying is desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools Desirable ( Training provided)
- Basic Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques(Training provided)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Nice-to-have skills: UK driving licence, ability to build or assist carpenters in related tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship, Freelance
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
