Reports to: Head of Cuisine/Cafe Supervisor
Working hours: Coffee Shop opening hours are between 9am – 5pm although flexibility is required to work outside of these hours as and when required (e.g. an ad hoc evening function).
Responsibilities:
· To be part of the highly motivated Visitor Centre team
· To ensure food stock is stored, labelled and rotated correctly
· To prepare and cook to specifications and batch recipes of dishes and maintain the specification standards at all times
· Controlling wastage of products at all times
· To deliver seasonal menu options.
· To deliver the food to the customer ensuring the quality and service times are in line with customer expectations and every dish is delivered to specification every time
· To work as a key member of the Malting Coffee Shop team, giving guidance to part-time/seasonal staff to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered from The Maltings Coffee Shop and visitors experience ‘a warm welcome’ and a first class and memorable experience.
· Timekeeping and flexibility, catering for out of hours distillery events as required
· To ensure a clean and tidy, well stocked kitchen is maintained at all times
· To make proper use of all equipment, utensils and appliances provided, reporting any defects as appropriate
· To ensure that all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and practices adhered to
· Carrying out cleaning as directed by cleaning rotas.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
