Location: London- White City
Pay Rate: £11.54/ hour
Working hours: FULL TIME 35-45 hours per week (including weekends). Shifts will be scheduled on a rota basis between 10am- 10:00pm
Job purpose:
As Counter Assistant you will be COOKING. The role involves extensive food preparation such as ingredients preps, assembling dishes, helping with deliveries, ensuring enough stock, and keeping all working areas organised and clean.
Main duties:

• Extensive food preparation;
• Cooking rice/ ramen/ Udon/ yakisoba etc
• Frying Gyoza/ Takoyaki/ Katsu etc
• You will be handling meat products including Chicken, Pork, Beef, Lamb and Fish.
• Serving a customers behind the counter in friendly and professional manner, quickly and efficiently;

• Operating the till
• Maintaining hygiene standards
• Other tasks that might be associated with your role.

• This role requires you to stand for your whole shift (excluding breaks)
• Lifting, bending, carrying and stretching on a regular basis

What we are looking for:

• Weekend availability is a MUST
• Have proven kitchen experience in the fast paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Passion for working in the kitchen and delivering excellent food quality.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with colleagues of all levels.
• An understanding of Food Safety standards.
• Ability to multitask with a "hands on" approach to work.
• Experience within a Japanese restaurant/ production is an advantage.
• Knowledge or interest in Japanese food and culture would be a bonus
• Eligible to work in the UK- YMS / working holiday visa welcome.
