- Data Modeling:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Ensure data models are aligned with business requirements and objectives.
- Database Design:
- Collaborate with database administrators to implement and optimize data models.
- Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.
- Ensure data integrity and quality through effective database design.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze data requirements and assess data sources to support data modeling efforts.
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document data requirements.
- Perform data profiling and data quality assessments.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, and other IT professionals to ensure data models are integrated and optimized.
- Communicate data modeling concepts and designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on data modeling best practices.
- Documentation and Standards:
- Develop and maintain documentation for data models, data flows, and data integration processes.
- Ensure data modeling standards and best practices are followed.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and contribute to data management policies.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, Power Designer).
- Experience with relational and No SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and database design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications:
- Data modeling certification (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) is a plus.
Pay: £80,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
