Electrician - Vehicle Cable Integration

Primary Purpose of the Role:
Due to increased workload, Ground Equipment have a requirement to increase the manufacturing team. This has resulted in an opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join the vehicle integration team.
This position is within a team of personnel who are responsible for the manufacture, repair & refurbishment of associated Rapid Ranger ground equipment. The key driver is achievement of set customer delivery milestones.
The key focus is to ensure we provide a consistent quality product to support all our UK & Export customers.
Principal Relationships:
- Vehicle Test Diagnostician
- Manufacturing Planners/Stores
- Team Leaders
- Cell Manager
- Quality Assurance
- Design Authority/Engineers
- Customer representative for Factory Acceptance Testing
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Must be able to work to drawings and production specifications.
- Produce assemblies and sub-assemblies against Production Test Specifications and recording of results.
- Experience in vehicle cable fitting/assembly techniques required to successfully complete task to the quality standard specified
- Integrating and working in harmony with the established team so as to achieve targets.
- Become familiar with and adopting the principles of the 5’s housekeeping standard.
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement activities that are ongoing within the work place with the goal of eliminating waste and reduce operating costs.
Skills
Essential
- Experienced PC user
- Manual dexterity.
- Quick learner.
- Working within a team.
Desirable
- Must be capable of working to Manufacturing Instruction and Engineering drawings.
Experience:
Essential
- Cable Manufacture/Installation.
Desirable
- At least 3 years in a Production environment or similar.

- Recognised Electrical Qualification.
