About the Role
Local Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English/Drama Teacher to join a vibrant school in Stanford-le-Hope on a fixed-term contract from January 2025 to July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a love for both literature and the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and inspiring lessons in English and Drama that align with Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculums.
• Support students to develop confidence in their critical thinking, analytical, and performance abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring each learner has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
• Participate in school-wide activities, including extracurricular projects such as drama productions or creative writing clubs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English and Drama up to Key Stage 4.
• A passion for inspiring students and creating engaging learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
