About me
I am a 16-year-old young female and I live at home with my parents in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
I am a sociable young girl with a zest for life, I bring so much happiness. I love all things social and enjoy going to school.
I have a life limiting disease that has taken my ability to talk, walk and eat independently.
I am looking for a PA to assist and support all my needs throughout the night. Due to my condition my sleep is very poor.
I need lots of reassurance as I use CPAP and I also need reposting throughout the night.
Hours and rate of pay
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights hours 10pm-8am.
30 hours per week.
Location
Hatfield (AL10)
DBS/Checks
Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training
Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

• Safeguarding Children

• Paediatric first aid

• Moving and handling

What you would be doing…
Duties include: personal care throughout the night
· Give medication as needed
· Reassurance
· Repositioning using a sleep system
· Help to get up and dressed for school
· Help with breakfast time.
· General housekeeping such as keeping my area clean and tidy/laundry.
The person I would like…
Seeking a female PA who is kind and gentle with a good sense of humour and a can do attitude.
You will need to be reliable, confident dealing with a disabled young female and happy to ‘do' all aspects of caring this includes, personal care, administrating meds and fit enough to keep up with me and be one step ahead of me as I have no awareness of danger.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative to help me in all areas of care and support. I am nonverbal but understand everything going on around me. I use an eye gaze communication computer to communicate and make my choices and Makaton sign.
