SDU Telecoms is currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated Fibre Splicer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is based in the London area and is essential for the expansion and maintenance of our telecommunications network.
About the Role:
As a Fibre Splicer, you will be responsible for the precise splicing of fibre optic cables as part of our ongoing projects on the Openreach network, specifically PON Build. This role requires someone who can ensure optimal operational standards and minimal service disruption.
Key Responsibilities:

• Splicing fibre optic cables with precision and care.
• Analysing and interpreting splice plans and schematics.
• Conducting tests and troubleshooting to ensure network stability.
• Maintaining accurate records of work done and materials used.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience working on the Openreach network, specifically on PON Build.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake weekend work occasionally as required.

Must possess the following accreditations:

• NRSWA-01 (Signing, Lighting and Guarding)
• N23 (One Fibre Network FTTP Strategic UG and OH Build)
• N26 (N26 – One Fibre Network FTTP Strategic UG Build)
