Finance Operations Manager (Part-Time)

Now, we're looking for a Finance Operations Manager to join our award-winning team, driving the financial operations that support our award winning vineyard’s continued success.
The Role:
As our Finance Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with our Finance Director, overseeing the day-to-day finance operations and leading a small, dynamic team. You’ll ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and support our ongoing commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation. You’ll also drive improvements to processes and controls, while managing ad-hoc projects that help steer our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance team, overseeing their development and performance.

• Oversee the month-end process, including reconciliations and management accounts.

• Manage cashflow, ensuring timely supplier and HMRC payments.

• Handle payroll, stock reconciliation, and related reporting.

• Support budgeting and financial planning, working with department managers and presenting to the Board.

• Provide ad-hoc financial insights for senior management decision-making.• Represent finance on projects and during external audits.

• Manage VAT returns, grant claims, and insurance renewals

.What We’re Looking For:

• A part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with hands-on experience in finance operations.

• Experience leading and developing a small finance team, ideally within an SME environment.

• Proficient in Excel and familiar with Oracle Netsuite ERP.

• Eager to develop and apply new skills, taking pride in their achievements.

• Highly organised, self-motivated, and happy to be involved in both operational and transactional tasks.

Working Pattern & Location:

• Part-time role: 25 hours per week (4-5 days).
