We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. As our Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations across the group.
We are looking for an ACCA or ACA accredited individual who has substantial experience of management accounts, financial processing, budgeting and reporting, alongside strong organisational skills.
This is a crucial role that requires excellent analytical skills and a deep knowledge of financial management.

About the Role and You
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, office-based
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Start date: Immediate start available
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, supplier payments and oversight of Xero.
• Oversee, manage and mentor junior members of the finance team.
• Leading budget preparation and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability and efficient resource allocation.
• Preparing management accounts, including detailed analysis of trends.
• Providing training and support on financial processes to administrative teams at our schools.
• Creating and maintaining weekly cash flow forecasts to optimise financial planning.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:

• Has prior experience as a Financial Controller (or similar)
• Is a problem solver with a pragmatic approach
• Is reliable, can work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
• Is an ACA or ACCA chartered accountant (essential)
• Has experience in preparation of management accounts
• Has excellent knowledge of Xero and Excel
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and presentation skills
• Has knowledge of the education sector (desirable)
