About the role
We are now recruiting for a newly qualified International Financial Controller to join the Cit NOW Group Finance Team.
This is a key role with responsibility for financial control across all overseas entities, including monthly management reporting, tax compliance, payroll and liaison with external advisors to deliver statutory reporting for the group.
An integral element of this role is the continuous improvement and development of systems and procedures as the group grows. This role will play a lead part in reducing reliance on external accountants by bringing key workstreams in house.
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual that will be able to drive change and play a key role in achieving best in class financial control.
Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for creating a strong financial control environment by ensuring robust policies, procedures and processes are in place to enable the delivery of accurate and timely internal and external reporting
• Review and completion of monthly management reporting packs for all overseas entities, including P&L review and balance sheet reconciliations
• KPI reporting
• International payroll and local employment tax reporting, including responsibilities around quarter-end bonus calculations and reviews
• Review of sales reconciliations
• Group intercompany reconciliations and international recharges
• Collaborate and drive ongoing positive finance transformation projects in respect of systems and process improvement as the business continues to grow and invest
• Support the planning and delivery of the year end group audit, holding particular ownership of the international entity deliverables
• Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to support in various workstreams, specifically review of entity performance
• Assist the Treasury function in review of both past and forecasted cashflow movements
• Monitor effectiveness of third-party providers and maximise business value and efficiencies, seeking improvements where necessary
• Ensure compliance with group approval matrix of all international supplier invoices
• Responsibility for ensuring that all international reporting, including statutory accounts, annual returns, tax computations/returns, and all other local requirements are prepared on a timely basis, and that all legal entities are compliant with local taxes and regulations
• Alongside other Financial Controllers, manage, train and develop a highly motivated and efficient team. Set SMART objectives with regular reviews, coaching and support as required
• Ad hoc financial support as the business demands develop

We are looking for:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
• Strong technical accountant, with experience of international audits
• Proven team management and motivational skills
• Skilled in organising tasks and establishing priorities to meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic, a self-starter with a proactive approach
