Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for an ambitious & curious lead full stack website developer to join our team.
You’ll be a self starter, motivated by an incredible project at a small, growing agency with big ambitions. You’ll lead the entire development function, managing in-house employees and external contractors. You’ll collaborate closely with our campaigns manager, creatives, content creators and CRM specialists, be involved in the development of websites for high profile clients and exciting companies across the UK. You will research, develop and test new features and functionality, as well as build websites from the ground up. Your role will be varied and you will get involved in upgrading existing sites, in addition to full website rebuilds and launches.
As a forward-thinking, solutions-led developer, you will be expected to keep on top of development trends, come up with exciting new ideas and ensure that you are always pushing the boundaries when it comes to website functionality and user experience. To do this, you’ll need to be a visionary, with the passion to roll your sleeves up and do the hard work at the same time. You will use this attitude to take charge and lead a development team across all Heyoo projects. It will be your first priority to ensure seamless, accurate and timely delivery to clients according to the agreed project specification, deadlines and budget as well as identifying opportunities to continuously add value.
You will also have the autonomy to implement your own ideas and will need to be a team player, increasing the breadth of your input to our wider company.

Role Requirements
Skills and Personal Qualities
- Develop and test Wordpress/ PHP (Laravel) solutions, as well as Hub Spot CMS
- Build, lead and mentor a first class team of developers
- Monitor web apps and troubleshoot problems / fix bugs
- Problem solve functionality or integration issues
- Write programming code
- Apply security and privacy principles throughout project
- Experience with third-party API integration
- Stakeholder and cross business user management
- Recommendations for continuous website improvement
- Website snagging, identification of errors and debugging
- Hosting and server management
- Technical understanding of SEO changes
- Experience with Google API'sand implementing plugins
- Knowledge of MODX advantageous
- Excellent written English
- Ability to communicate with clients from a technical standpoint but in Layman's terms
- Preferable a computer science or related discpiline degree
- 8 years experience with Wordpress
- Good knowledge and experience of PHP (Laravel)
- React JS /Vue JS/ HTML / Java / C#, JSON, Angular experience
- Web API(Restful)
- Secure coding (OWASP)
- Experienced with API integrations, plugin and theme repurposing
- Writing best practice code
- Creativity and imagination
- Adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work on their own or in a team
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Show attention to detail
- An understanding of UX design
- Ability to multi-task
- Aware of international web standards and protocols
- Able to use initiative
