Fundraising and Engagement Officer

Job Purpose: The Fundraising and Engagement Officer will drive funding growth for Incredible Kids by focusing on fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and corporate outreach. This role will prioritise developing and executing digital fundraising strategies, building relationships with potential donors and corporate partners, and enhancing the charity's visibility on relevant platforms like Linked In to secure funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Income Generation (70% - approximately 7 hours per week):
  • Plan and Implement Digital Fundraising Campaigns: Design and execute at least one targeted digital fundraising campaign per quarter, focusing on specific objectives such as online donations, supporter engagement, or awareness-raising.
  • Engage Donors and Corporate Partners via Linked In: Use Linked In to identify, connect with, and cultivate relationships with corporate partners and potential donors. Share impactful content that aligns with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals and promotes the charity's mission.
  • Maintain Donor Relationships: Develop and manage a donor communication strategy, including email newsletters, personalised outreach, and thank-you communications, to retain existing donors and attract new ones.
  • Support Grant Research and Applications: Assist with identifying small grants or funding opportunities and provide support in drafting and submitting applications in collaboration with trustees.
Communications and Engagement (30% - approximately 3 hours per week):
  • Content Creation for Digital Platforms: Create and repurpose content (e.g., impact stories, updates, testimonials) for Linked In, Facebook, Instagram X, email newsletters, and the website to support fundraising and engagement efforts.
  • Social Media Management for Fundraising: Manage the charity’s presence on Facebook, Linkedin and other relevant social media channels, focusing on content that supports fundraising goals and attracts new supporters.
  • Analyse and Report on Impact: Track the performance of fundraising campaigns and donor engagement efforts, report on key metrics, and suggest improvements based on data.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Fundraising Targets: Achieve fundraising targets set by the trustees, including specific amounts for digital campaigns and corporate partnerships.
  • Corporate Engagement: Establish a target number of new corporate contacts or partnerships via Linked In within 12 months.
  • Donor Retention and Growth: Increase donor retention rates and grow the donor base by a set percentage over 12 months.
  • Content Engagement: Regularly post and engage with content on Linked In and other platforms, aiming for measurable growth in followers and engagement rates.
Essential Experience:
  • Proven experience in fundraising, digital marketing, or donor engagement roles, with a successful track record in driving income growth.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and effective content for fundraising and donor engagement.
  • Experience managing social media channels, especially Linked In, for corporate engagement.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience in grant writing or supporting grant applications.
  • Knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and engaging with corporate partners.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by families with children with additional needs.
Personal Attributes:
  • Creative, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive fundraising initiatives forward.
  • Passionate about generating income to support young people with additional needs and committed to the charity's mission.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with donors, supporters, and corporate partners.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00 per hour
