Job Title: Graduate Application Developer
Location: Rugby Headquarters

Job Role:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Rugby, Warwickshire, requiring a commitment of 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Given the presence of Quartzelec business units throughout the UK, the ideal candidate must possess a valid UK driving license and reliable transportation for regular travel requirements.
The Graduate Application Developer role will report directly to the Group IT Manager and will be part of a cohesive team focused on facilitating the transition to a digital platform using primarily Power Apps and Power Automate.
Quartzelec is committed to optimising workstreams for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. The candidate will join a small team of three existing IT Technicians and will receive full mentorship throughout the apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide internal support to our UK and international business units currently utilising Power Platform solutions
- Assist in the planning, design, and testing of both new and existing business solutions and applications
- Identify potential areas within the business units for migration to the digital platform and assess existing IT applications and solutions for improvement
- Participate in research and development projects as needed, assisting the Group IT Manager
- Utilise standard design formats to develop applications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering A minimum of two years of relevant industry experience in software development
- Proven experience in creating database-driven applications.
- A solid understanding of software testing processes supported by practical experience
- Familiarity with Power Platform, Power Automate & Power Apps
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly motivated and organised individual who has strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in approach to work
- Will require to demonstrate some examples of work that has been completed
