Canvins Group are expanding, and we are looking for qualified and highly motivated staff to join our growing Tree Management Division.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the works area and maintaining a safe work site. A strong understanding of groundskeeping practices, including the use of hand and power tools, is essential.
Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks to ensure the area is clean.
• Setting out work areas.
• Filling out risk assessments.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various groundskeeping tasks.
• Ensure all groundskeeping equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Regularly inspect the grounds for any issues that require attention or repair.
• Communicate with the Tree Climbers to maintain a safe work site.

Experience

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
• Towing experience is preferred but not essential.
• Relevant qualifications such as CS30, CS31 & CS38, EFAW are preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Training provided.

Our sites require drug testing and DBS checks.
Pay:
£14 - £17 per hour
Overtime, Weekend work, Call outs and Bonus scheme.
Location:
Based in Maidstone, Kent.
Normal hours 6am - 4pm.
