Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with personal hygiene
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Monitor and record patient information, including symptoms, medication administration, and changes in condition
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, offering reassurance and empathy
- Maintain a clean and organized healthcare environment, ensuring infection control protocols are followed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature and the ability to provide emotional support to patients in challenging situations
- Attention to detail in recording patient information accurately and following care plans precisely
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the healthcare team and build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
