Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (Relief)
Salary: £16.90 p/h - £18.59 p/h 5% (Including a 10% night rate premium for hours between 7pm and 4am).
Shifts: 4 on 4 off

Position Overview
As a HGV Class 1 Relief Driver, you will be supporting our ever-expanding Transport Operations department. Your routes will change on a weekly basis, dependent on sickness / holidays within the department, so someone able to adapt quickly would be perfect for this position.
Following Procedures for every task is critically important to keep consistency through the teams, and ensure the internal standards are met for the product before reaching our customers.
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to motivate themselves.
Most importantly for this role is a good understanding of customer relations. Our drivers are very much the face of Trewithen, and our customers have come to expect a high standard of service from our Transport Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embracing and maintaining the health and safety culture
- Communicating through the department, to ensure efficient delivery runs and safe working
- Working with and supporting Transport Supervisors / Managers.
- Delivering our award-winning products, primarily throughout Cornwall and Devon
- Adhere to HACCP regulations
- Follow food safety guidelines and procedures throughout the delivery process
- Building and developing relationships with members of the Supply Chain.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in chilled delivery is desirable but not compulsory.
- A high level of driving competence
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Valid Category CE Licence
- DCPC training is provided on an ongoing basis at the site, with no cost to our employed drivers
