An ideal housekeeper candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient. They should have experience in cleaning, organising, and managing household tasks. Strong communication skills, a good work ethic, and trustworthiness are essential. They should also be able to follow specific instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Job Purpose: To ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of The Old Pheasantry, including but not limited to bed linen, common spaces, and any additional tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager. All cleaning duties must be carried out with attention to detail, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
Please note this is a physically demanding role.
Due to the location of the house, being able to drive is beneficial. You will also be lone working sometimes so you will need to be comfortable with this. The house is situated in a rural location and will be dark in the evenings over winter.
Hours of work: Monday, Wednesday 8am-11am, Friday 3.30pm-6.30pm and Sunday 2pm-5pm. There is some flexibility with the hours.

Annual leave: Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service. (pro-rata for part time workers)
The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.
