Sherpa Cleans Ltd is an exciting, expanding and fast paced business; we operate professional cleaning services for high quality short-term-let properties, apartment hotels and pop-up hotels during festival periods. We also cover commercial property cleaning such as office, restaurant and bar cleaning. Our clients are based across the central belt of Scotland.
About the role
We are looking for energetic individuals to join our Housekeeping Team in Edinburgh. This role involves cleaning luxury apartments for a high-end client, and so it is vital that the candidate has ample cleaning/housekeeping experience and excellent communication skills.
The role will require 10-30 hours weekly across a few different apartment buildings in Edinburgh City Centre. Candidates should be available to work between the hours of 11am and 3pm. We are looking to hire candidates to fill a variety of different roles, both full-time and part time, and so the role can be flexible for the right candidate.
We are searching for skilled, diligent Housekeepers, who take pride in their work. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our properties and their surrounds to high standards. Professional experience is essential and ongoing training will be given.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to complete assigned tasks within the stipulated period and able to perform to a high standard with minimal supervision. Where necessary, you must work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cleaning floors of various types. Vacuuming carpets and cleaning upholstery.
· Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
· Sanitizing bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks and all kitchen fixtures and appliances.
· Making Beds & Changing Towels, Packing changeover linen for return to laundry.
· Preparing Welcome Packs.
· Emptying Bins.
· Performing internal window cleaning, where necessary.
· Liaising with the line manager to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products and linen at all times.
· Reporting any guest breakages or occurrences during the cleaning process.
· Informing the line manager of repairs or maintenance that need to be done.
Essential Requirements:
· Smart Mobile Phone.
· Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques.
· The ability to follow instructions.
· The ability to adapt to changing schedules.
· Punctual and reliable with diligent attention to detail and safety.
· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication in English.
· Ability to Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to function well as part of a team.
· Flexibility.
