*Overview*
We are seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee our housekeeping and laundry operations within our 26 bed nursing home situated in a quiet village outside Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning/domestic services. Although this is a Team Leader role the successful applicant will also be 'hands on' working alongside the other team members. 6 hour shifts, 8am to 2pm worked between Monday and Sunday.
*Duties*
- Organise the housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all resident rooms and bathrooms and public areas
- Ensure cleaning schedules and procedures are maintained and followed
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols and standards
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and order where necessary
- Handle requests and complaints related to housekeeping services
- Be 'hands on' working alongside the rest of the housekeeping and laundry team.
*Skills*
- Previous experience in cleaning services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety, COSHH etc
