Working as a friendly, approachable almost “family” unit we now seek an HR professional who has a generalist human resources background. You may be working though your CIPD qualification and have been active in HR with good commercial focus that includes recruitment, induction and maintenance and review of policy/practices (with the help our external expert)
We require a compassionate but commercially aware professional who can maintain business’s Human Resources practices, and help our team manager and Leadership team with all HR related matters, and deliver the functional aspects of in-house Human Resources that will include learning strategies throughout the business. As a full time role and will be based in our office in North West London.
Main Tasks:
  • Running all functional aspects of in-house Human Resources inc reporting for our external Payroll bureau.
  • Recruiting new team members; creating job specifications, listing vacancies, taking part in interviews alongside managers and helping with candidate selection.
  • Delivery and enhancement of on boarding including contract issue, provision of resources, new employee administration, and execution of the induction and training strategy.
  • Creating effective training documents and maintaining training records, this may include a Graduate programme in the future.
  • Maintaining and managing Health and Safety matters including training, risk assessments and employee engagement alongside senior management and H&S consultant.
  • Assessing individual performance against objectives, KPIs and available performance data and reporting findings and opportunities for improvement to relevant managers.
  • Conducting performance reviews alongside team leaders and managers.
  • Conducting disciplinary and as well as behavior/performance meetings through to outcome.
  • Managing employee sickness and absence, maintaining records and enhancing related policies and procedures.
  • Focus on development and retention through the business.
  • Maintaining Human Resources documentation, policies and processes and taking advice from our external HR consultant.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and relevant non-legislative standards.
  • Provide coaching and training throughout the business, ensuring that the business’s strategy and business goals align and remain compliant.
  • Accountable for anticipating and responding to organisational changes, challenges and opportunities by skillfully balancing a range of HR strategies and solutions that deliver greatest value to the company and uphold principles of fairness, equality and diversity
  • Communicating changes and developments throughout the organisation.
  • The lead and advocate of our company culture throughout the business.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities.
Key Attributes and requirements
  • CIPD Level 3 or working towards full qualification.
  • Proven HR generalist experience.
  • You will be resilient, action oriented with an analytical mind.
  • A commercial focus with the ability to take a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • You should be structured and organised in your approach.
  • You will be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and their teams, you will be a strong communicator and will be skilled at building effective working relationships.
  • You will need to have the ability to communicate complex, sensitive and contentious information.
  • Professional and self-motivated.
  • Tactful, diplomatic and able to deal with difficult situations.
  • Have a solid knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • An entrepreneurial and commercial attitude with a focus on raising performance to achieve ambitious objectives.
  • Intellectual rigor with the ability to absorb complex information and communicate this succinctly and effectively to expert and non- expert audiences.
  • Strategic thinker combined with excellent attention to detail.

We operate Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30, this is an office based role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
