**Position Overview:**
We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced ICATS Painter to work on our current projects.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting various aspects of our railway projects, contributing to the success and growth of HRS Rail LTD.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform ICATS (Industrial Coating Applicator Training Scheme) painting tasks on railway construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Apply specialised coatings to various surfaces, including railway structures, equipment, and related infrastructure, in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct shot blasting, salt testing, and de-scaling activities as part of surface preparation for coating applications.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, shot blasting, and applying primers as needed.
- Utilise painting tools and equipment effectively to achieve high-quality finishes and coatings.
- Collaborate with the team to assist in the setup and cleanup of painting materials, equipment, and work areas.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring painting equipment and tools are properly stored.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance ICATS painting skills and knowledge in railway construction.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience as an ICATS Painter within the construction or railway industry is essential.
- Proficient in applying specialised coatings in accordance with ICATS standards.
- Experience in shot blasting, salt testing, and de-scaling for surface preparation.
- Ability to prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
