Situated in the exclusive Coombe Estate, Warren House provides peace and tranquillity suitable for accommodation, dining, conferences, meetings, seminars, and training. The hotel consists of 46 bedrooms, 11 conference and event rooms, two bars, and a restaurant with terrace dining.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pan Asian Chef with a strong emphasis on Japanese cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in a variety of Asian cuisines, with a particular expertise in Japanese culinary traditions, and will be eager to advance their career into a leadership role. The Pan Asian Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
Menu Development:

• Design and update menus to reflect seasonal availability and incorporate traditional and contemporary Pan Asian and Japanese culinary techniques.
• Create new dishes and innovate on classic recipes to enhance the dining experience.

Food Preparation:

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of Pan Asian and Japanese dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with health regulations.

Quality Control:

• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in dishes.
• Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to maintain high standards.

Inventory and Stock Management:

• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
• Monitor and control food costs and minimize waste.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about Pan Asian and Japanese cooking techniques and safety procedures.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Customer Interaction:

• Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and adjust dishes according to their preferences.
• Participate in cooking demonstrations and events to promote the restaurant.

Operational Efficiency:

• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely manner and that all dishes are served according to the restaurant's standards.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
• Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) specializing in Pan Asian and Japanese cuisine.

• Proficiency in a wide range of Pan Asian and Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients.
