The role
We are looking for someone to support some of our commercial lawyers with a range of administrative tasks. Our lawyers work with many very interesting clients, including many household name companies, and their work is often fast paced and can be challenging.
As a junior PA you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks including:
About you
You will need to have excellent organisational skills, including strong experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, but also good familiarity with Excel, Teams and Powerpoint. The role involves a working with a lot of different databases and other software packages so you need to be a confident IT user generally.
You will have excellent written English skills, attention to detail and be able to stay calm and focussed when managing multiple deadlines. You'll be naturally helpful and good with people.
We expect that you'll be able to show these skills from having worked in an office-based administrative role for at least 6 months somewhere else. You don't need to have worked in a law firm, but that (or something similar) would be an advantage.

- document production (including formatting contracts, reports etc and drafting own straightforward letters and emails, minutes, meeting agendas, creating powerpoint slides)
- arranging meetings and travel
- filing and organisation of documents (mostly electronic)
- dealing with various enquiries
- processing credit card payments and expenses
- assisting with timesheet submission and client billing
- a host of other organisation and admin tasks needed to assist our lawyers manage their client work, training, team communication and other responsibilities!
